JW Player Hits Record H1 2015 Sales Growth

World’s most widely distributed digital and mobile video solution further expands global footprint through improved mobile offerings, best-in-class streaming, monetization and discovery tools

NEW YORK – July 15, 2015 – JW Player, a leading digital and mobile video solutions company, today announced the addition of more than 3,700 new customers, including 1,089 enterprise deals, making the first half of 2015 its most successful sales period to-date. New to the company’s customer roster are some of the world’s leading content creators and media brands across a range of industry verticals, including gaming, sports, music, and technology, spanning more than 112 countries. 31 percent of new customers are located in Europe, 14 percent in Asia, and five percent in Latin America.

Powering the world’s largest open video ecosystem, JW Player’s newest customers help further expand its global footprint, with an average of 1.2 billion unique monthly viewers (double its volume from the same time last year). More than 126 million, or about 10 percent, of the total unique monthly views can be attributed to the new accounts won during the first half of 2015. Also, there were 3.3 billion ad impressions served in June, more than double the impressions in 2014. Approximately 1.13 billion, or about 36 percent, of these monthly ad impressions can be attributed to new accounts won during the first half of 2015. Finally, JW Player viewers watch more than 700 million hours of video each month, 2.5 times more time than the same period the previous year.

JW Player’s rapid growth comes as companies of every size and scale increasingly turn toward online and mobile video as a strategic priority. Customers choosing JW Player cited the solution’s seamless viewer experience across all platforms, especially mobile.
