Tag exclusion rules provide an easy way to remove specific videos from the recommendations system while still maintaining a large enough pool of content to provide great videos for viewers. They can be used with inclusion rules to provide the level of customizability you need for the most complex publishing workflows.

For best practices, try to use limited exclusion rules where possible. Recommendations performance can be diminished by overly aggressive tag rules.
